Recently I made a plush crane out of fabric. Instead of folding it out of a
square of fabric and then stuffing it, I made templates of the wings, neck,
tail, and body and cut out the individual pieces, stuffed them, and then
sewed all of them together by hand. Probably the most distinctive thing I
did differently was giving the neck and tail a pyramidal profile.
