Hi,
A woman made "accordion/explosive books" and put them on etsy for sale. Someone emailed her claiming to have a patent on those types of books and asked her to remove her items from the etsy store. The obligatory disclaimer, I am not a lawyer, although I do know a few lawyers. I did a quick read of the patent and it looks like these folks defend their patent. Seems to be several assignments from others, so it might cost $$ to keep selling items after your friend has been put on notice. Unless she is prepared to differentiate her item from the seemingly very broad patent, she might just want to cease and desist. Again, this is not a studied legal opinion, just my random thoughts. Now back to rearranging my paper stash. Not folding right now, but planning for later. YMMV Mary --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast!
