·         Conduct web based applications development and implementation
consistent with unit needs.

·         Maintain assigned applications providing resolution of issues in
a timely manner

·         Maintain all required documentation related to unit web
applications.

·         Provide direction and leadership for web related project
assignments

·         Prepare project schedules and budgets.

·         Prepare formal and informal status reports and presentations.

·         Perform other related duties as assigned.

·         Conduct user interface designs & development.

·         Build web sites and web based solutions using content management
systems.

·         Daily maintenance of website content

·         Train content author, and support



*EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:*

*Degrees required for this job:* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or
related field.



*Specialized skills required for this job:*

This job requires advanced knowledge and skills in configuration and
deployment of web applications including database design, web based
scripting languages and web standards. Additionally, skills in project
management, work leadership, presentation, customer service and problem
solving are required.

·         Java and J2EE.

·         JSP, JSP EL and JSTL

·         JDBC

·         Relational Databases and SQL.

·         Spring 3.x, 4.x

·         Spring Core (dependency injection)

·         Spring MVC – annotation based controllers

·         JPA 2.x and Hibernate

·         HTML and HTTP protocol.

·         JavaScript and JQuery

·         Basic CSS

·         AJAX and JSON

·          XML parsing

·         Object Oriented Design, Analysis and Programming.

·         Web application server (prefer Tomcat).

·         Windows and UNIX OS (from a user point of view).

·         Use of source control system like Subversion and working in a
team development environment

·         Basic UML: Class, Sequence, Deployment and Use Case Diagrams.

·         Writing design documents, and technical documentations.

·         Build tools (Maven)

·         Integrated Development Environment (prefer Eclipse).

·         Use of open source products/tools

·         Highly motivated and able to work in a small team environment
often performing other duties - such as requirement capture, testing, and
deployment.

·         Must be able to work independently.



*Specialized skills preferred:*

Systems and job environment will house specific software applications and
operating systems that are associated with additional specific skills that
are preferred.

·         Oracle

·         HTML5

·         STRUTS 1.x and Tiles

·         FreeMarker or Velocity

·         RESTful services - Spring annotation based controllers and JAX-RS
(prefer Jersey/RestEasy)

·         Solr or Lucene

·         JavaScript UI frameworks - jQuery UI, kendo UI, Knockout,
AngularJS

·         CSS frameworks –Bootstrap 3

·         Portlets 2.0 (JSR286) development

·         Spring Portlets MVC - annotation based controllers

·         Liferay Portal administration

·         Workflow framework (BPMN 2.0) – prefer Activiti Workflow Engine

·         Java Security – prefer Apache Shiro
