*Description:*

·         The main function of this role will be to continue development
and assist with any troubleshooting needs for PIMCO's compliance systems.
Specifically, investment guideline rules automation.

·         The search for this role can be nationwide; the candidate is
expected to relocate to Newport. The role will likely be for 1 year to
start with potential to extend depending on other projects occurring at the
time.

·         What are the top three skills required for the role? Strong UNIX
C++, Data structures/Algorithms, Multi-threading

·         Will this person be more of a leader on the team and expected to
work through projects independently or will they be working with a team in
which they will receive direction without the need to problem solve
independently? Senior developer; they should be able to work both
collaboratively and independently

·         How many years of C++ development experience does the role
require? 7

·         Is a bachelor’s degree sufficient or would a master’s degree be
needed? BA or BS is sufficient

·         Is previous financial industry development experience required?
No, but it is preferred



*Required Skills*

·         Strong C++ developer with knowledge of STL and POSIX threading
required

·         Knowledge of Unix development environment

·         Familiar with algorithmic complexity analysis and
profiling/optimization

·         Basic to moderate SQL skills required, advanced skills preferred

·         Knowledge of financial products preferred

·         Knowledge of SVN / Team Forge preferred
