Title: Supervisor (Gas or Energy Utilities) posted on 2014-04-14 15:49:25 Job Description:*Title:* *Supervisor Gathering Operations* *Duration:* Full time *Location:* New Milford, PA *Job Description* *Supervisor Gathering Operations:* This position leads the planning and contractor activities for multi-year, large-scale natural gas production, transmission, compression, and storage, construction projects for our gas and gathering Blue Stone project in New Milford, Pennsylvania. This is a First-Level Supervisor position responsible for the supervision, coordination and deployment of labor, equipment and resources for all gas transmission, compression, storage and production activities in a geographic area. Coordinates activities with operating and support departments to ensure safe, reliable service and performance, while maintaining compliance with the State Gas Safety Code. *Key Accountabilities* -Administers, interprets and applies Code of Federal Regulation including OSHA and DOT regulations, State-specific OSHA Regulations, State Gas Safety Standards and Safety Rules, DEQ/Environmental Rules. -Administers, interprets and applies specifications and requirements for the design, installation and operation of gas production, transmission and storage operation facilities and equipment. -Develops a trained, productive, diverse team-focused workforce; prioritizes, plans, schedules, monitors, and controls work utilizing the Management Operating System. -Manages, coordinates and maintains high level of safety/reliability in all operating activities in areas of responsibility and coordinates activities with other gas handling components (producers/gas transmission companies) -Supervises and coordinates all operating activities in the area of responsibility and coordinates activities with other gas handling operating areas. -Supervises resources, budgets $2 million O&M and $2 million Capital to meet Company goals and expectations for the production, transmission and storage system, budget preparation, monitoring, and ongoing budget review and forecasting to ensure targets are achieved. -Identifies and promotes discipline-related continuous improvement initiatives. -Subject to DOT testing/OQ training and certification. -24/7 on-call and abilities to prioritize and handle emergency responses/experienced required. Job Requirements: *Qualifications:* -High school diploma or GED, and the knowledge and capabilities typically acquired through 5-plus years of natural gas production, transmission, compression, or storage experience, or Associate degree or certificate (i.e. the completion of a core group of program-related courses designated by the institution) in engineering technology or related technical discipline, and the knowledge and capabilities typically acquired through 3-plus years of natural gas production, transmission, compression, or storage experience, or Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Engineering technology discipline, and the knowledge and capabilities typically acquired through 1 or more years of natural gas production, transmission, compression, or storage experience. -Proficiency in business unit-related software applications sufficient to apply them with minimal instruction or guidance; this level of proficiency typically attainable through at least one year of substantive experience with the applications. -Communicates effectively (verbally and in writing) with individuals at all levels, inside and outside the Corporation. -Ability to travel and report for work at different locations(typically within the Corporation's service area);incumbents are responsible for their own transportation. -May be required to report at work at any time for priority/emergency response activities. -Provides leadership through example in a unionized environment, consistent with prevailing collective bargaining agreements. -Deals effectively with resistance; takes positive steps to avoid the recurrence of errors through constructive critique. -Balances multiple demands from superiors, and/or subordinates and peers in a positive and even-handed fashion; display a calm demeanor under pressure. -Analytical and problem-solving skills consistent with the ability to identify key issues from a broad range of alternatives, and recommend optimal solutions for various situations. *Ideal applicant will have 5 years of natural gas compression, transmission, or storage experience along with supervisory experience.* *The ideal candidate has worked for these companies: Access Midstream, Williams, Cabot Oil, any midstream company* Salary: 90000 *Click here to view full job description and apply <http://ejobsville.com/display-job/150810> (Registration not mandatory to apply for this job)* ------------------------------ Best regards, eJobsVille.com - For The Best Tech Jobs In Town -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-Projects" group.
