Title: PeopleSoft Database Administrator in Milwaukee, WI -Need Locals posted on 2014-04-03 07:28:59 Job Description: Hi Title : PeopleSoft Database Administrator Duration: 6 months extension Possible Location : Milwaukee, WI F2F After Telephonic Look for Cand in IL, IA, WI, MN Description: · Stabilize evening batch processes running on a PeopleSoft Oracle Campus Solutions Student Information System database. · Work with developers on SQL tuning and other database tuning. · Lead a project to replace database servers for the Student Information System. These responsibilities are carried out in a team environment, working effectively with colleagues, leading and participating fully and creatively on teams. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Evening hours may be necessary for batch process issue resolution. · Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the PeopleSoft database. · Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. · May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. · Works under general supervision; typically reports to a manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
