Title: Dev Ops Engineer posted on 2014-02-25 09:33:40 Job Description:Hello Partners, We have a Job opening for *Dev Ops Engineer* at * Columbus, OH - Contract*. *Role: Dev Ops Engineer* *Location: Columbus, OH* *Duration: More than 1 year* *Required Skill set: * * Experience with Atlassian tools like Bamboo, Jira, Confluence. * Provisioning experience with Vagrant, Puppet, Chef, CFEngine, Docker, etc * Deployment experience on local, virtual, and bare metal environments * Experience with Java, Javascript, Ruby, Python, Perl, Shell Scripting for script automation. * Subversion and GIT adminstration and deployment skills, training, and experience. Knowledge of git-flow a plus. * Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and key-value store databases preferred. * Strong usage and administration skills in Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. *Job Responsibilities: * * For new applications, work with development team to specify the requirements for application build, test, and deploy processes. * Once the application is on boarded, provide oversight to changes introduced by the development team to any devops configuration changes team * DevOps Developer role is to write build and deployment scripts according to SCM team standards and processes to all defined deploy environments * Act as first responder for all build failure points along the CDS * DevOps Developer is required to automate smoke/sanity tests for the applications deployed and also collect the correct stakeholders to resolve the issues that arise as part of the smoke test process * DevOps Developer is expected to learn the architecture of all the applications to help trouble shoot any issues for each applications.
