SKILLS REQUIRED
• 15 years of experience in Business Process Transformation and Process
Mapping
• Certified LEAN Consultant
• Expert knowledge of process improvement methods such as LEAN or Kaizen
• Competency in documenting existing business processes
• Competency in methods of merging and aligning business processes across
multiple work sites
• Competency in training people about the basics of process improvement
methods and documentation, and in training people to be effective and
competent facilitators of process improvement and documentation methods
• Competency In facilitating the LEAN Workout Method A3 or similar methods
for identifying opportunities to improve the way work gets done
• Competency in 5S or similar methods for creating a clean, safe, orderly,
high-performance work space
• Experience with human services business processes
• LEAN/ITIL/Other Certifications
• High level communication and facilitation skills

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Business process improvement and documentation/mapping
• In collaboration with transition leadership team, identify and prioritize
human services business processes to be documented and aligned or merged.
• Document approximately 100 existing business processes in each of the
three agencies and work with appropriate staff to merge or align, as
appropriate, business processes across the three work sites.
o Documentation must be adequate to support implementation and continuity
of the new processes, as well as to support the definition of certain
technology changes required to implement the merged agency (such as phones,
email and electronic document management systems for child support,
accounting, and social services).
• Provide training to all staff (about 130) about the basics of process
improvement methods and documentation to enable effective employee
engagement in this activity.
• Provide training to enable one or more staff to effectively facilitate
process improvement and documentation of events in order to develop
internal agency capacity and sustain the effort to review and refine
business processes into the future.
• Identify preferred standards for work space related to processes using 5S
or similar method.
