Hope you are doing good.**** ** ** This is Shaj from Iconsoft.**** ** ** Urgent requirement for Senior Windows Application Infrastructure(Windows .NET Engineer).**** ** ** * * *Location*: Scranton, PA**** *Duration*: 6 Months**** * * *Project Description*: Senior Windows Application Infrastructure(Windows .NET Engineer).**** ** ** *Job Description*:**** ** ** *Principal Responsibilities*:**** ** ** **§ ** Engineering/Design/Implementation of Web Application Infrastructure, including:**** **§ **** ** **§ **Requirements gathering in the areas of performance, scalability and availability.**** **§ **Requirements gathering and documentation of application characteristics, including means of implementation, backend resources, third-party software requirements, etc.**** **§ **Design of web hardware infrastructure. Authorship of design documents, topologies, and guiding these through the design approval process.**** **§ **Specification of implementation instructions, monitoring requirements, network hardware requirements, application-modification instructions.**** **§ **Authorship of run-books, restoration of service guides.**** **§ **Technical support for web application developers. Providing leadership in the areas of standardization and best practices, as well as application trouble shooting activities.**** **§ **Monitoring, tuning and performance testing activities for live and in-flight applications.**** **§ **Hands-on implementation and trouble-shooting in all pre-production environments, possibly including production prior to application go-live. Trouble-shooter of last resort in all production environments.**** **§ **Develop procedures and processes for Level 2 support technicians.**** **§ **Receives general supervision and is competent to work at the highest level of all technical phases of Web engineering.**** **§ ** Will act as Project Leader. This involves providing assistance and training to lower level Web engineers, tech services personal and application developers. Furthermore, in his/her role as owner of application performance and availability end-to-end, will have to provide guidance and leadership to engineers from other disciplines such as network, database, middleware etc.**** ** ** * Required Experience*:**** ** ** **§ **5+ years experience with web application server technologies running on Windows operating systems.**** **§ **A strong 5 years of working knowledge, including design and advanced trouble-shooting skills, of major web and application tier software offerings is required. **** **§ **5 years experience with IIS, Apache.**** **§ **5 years of in-depth knowledge of web application technologies including the following: Application components such as RDBM’s, Active Directory, LDAP and Queuing solutions.**** **§ **5 years experience in Windows operating system (Win2k3, Win2k8) configuration, maintenance and diagnostics. Including knowledge of Powershell.**** ** ** * Preferred Experience*:**** ** ** Tricare DOD ADPII Certification – must be obtained within 3 months of employment. (a plus)**** ** ** **§ **Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or 7+ years equivalent work experience required.**** **§ **Certifications: Microsoft: MCSA, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP, CompTIA: A+, Network + (a plus) **** **§ **A good working knowledge of the capabilities of current state network devices, particularly load-balancers, DNS and hardware encryption devices. Ability to communicate w/ network personal in their own language is a must for specifying the use and configuration of these devices.**** **§ **SharePoint Engineering & Administration experience (a plus). **** **§ **Working knowledge of Siteminder (a plus).**** **§ **Familiarity with both ITIL principles and Remedy ITSM (or similar) ticketing systems**** **§ **Advanced leadership, project management, and communication skills essential. The engineer will be taking the lead on projects involving many technical disciplines, and be driving all involved towards successful implementation of highly complex projects.**** **§ **Ability to ramp up on new technology quickly. We are required to support our customers no matter what platform they require. Engineers are often asked to learn and acquire expert level skills with unfamiliar technology in a very tight time-frame.**** **§ **Excellent teamwork and communication skills, both verbal and in writing.**** **§ **Ability to play a vital role in high visibility assignments. The ability to communicate directly with senior management.**** **§ **Software engineering experience is a plus, as the infrastructure engineer’s customers will generally come from this community.**** **§ **A good working knowledge of a Microsoft PKI Certificate Services Infrastructure (a plus)**** **§ **How it is implemented and managed in a large global enterprise including understanding encryption methods and certificate template concepts.
