*Title : Java / SAP MDM *
*Location: Atlanta,GA *
*Duration: 6 Months *

Job Description:
Our client is looking for Java MDM resource to complete the work they have
started. Below describes what they had already done and what they think
still needs to be completed. Ideal candidate will be a java wizard familiar
with SAP MDM, able to format data for a nicely finished printable report,
and capable of design as well as coding. They may also want to rework, or
redesign, or even come up with a better approach to solve the problem.

What has already been done?
We have created a prototype of an MSR program data source that extracts the
data directly from MDM. The data required for an MSR report is contained in
five separate repositories:
1. SKU Products – stores all Product master data
2. Packaging Templates – stores data for the template patterns that define
a packaging material, e.g. the die cut pattern for a corrugate box
3. Packaging Artwork – stores the data related to the printing on the
packaging material, including process colors, print separators, data to
include in the final output, etc.
4. Packaging Material – stores the linked template and artwork records and
includes additional data specific to the facility and line where the SKU is
sourced
5. Production Facilities – combines all key records, SKU, Packaging
Material and Facility/Line into a single record. The data elements in a
Production Facilities record provide the necessary links to traverse
through all five repositories and build an MSR report

The MSR data source program has been tested and audited against existing
MSR reports to check for data accuracy.

This MSR data source can be exposed to a client program as an object graph
or an XML document. It has not yet been configured as a web service, but
that would be a fairly straightforward exercise using JAXB or a similar
technology.

The program takes three inputs:
SKU
Facility Name
Line Name

With these three inputs, it extracts the data required for an MSR report
from all five MDM repositories using the MDM Java API. The data is bundled
together in a set of domain objects, each of which holds the appropriate
repository data, e.g. the SKU object holds the data for the SKU repository,
the TMP for the Templates, etc. An MSR domain object composes and stores
these domain objects into a coherent set of data.

What still needs to be done?
The data source program needs to be deployed on an application server,
either as a web service endpoint or onto NetWeaver Portal as a Web Dynpro
Context. The client program also needs to be created. This program will
present a UI to the user, take the three inputs described above, build the
MSR data set and bind this set to a PDF file that can be streamed back to
the user.
