*Duration : 2 Years* *Rate : 60-65/hr on C2C* *Description of the project:* The Internet and Data Center Technologies group leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive Internet service delivery strategy for the students, teachers, and administrative staff of the Client in New York City The E-rate Modernization Order recommends for “Internet access for schools of at least 100 Mbps per 1,000 students and staff (users) in the short term and 1 Gbps Internet access per 1,000 users in the longer term.” In order to adopt the recommendation, a robust filtering solution will need to be developed to replace the existing technologies. The candidate will help research, analyze, pilot and deploy next generation web filtering technologies within our school network environment. In addition, there will be a need to examine the core network environment and provide recommendations on filtering improvements. *Day to day tasks to be performed by the Consultant (be descriptive and specific):* Design and architect forward and reverse web proxy solutions. Implement Content filtering and web proxy solutions Provide operational support of the content filtering and web proxy environment. Coordinate escalations and collaborate with internal technology teams to ensure timely resolution Perform system maintenance and maintain current documentation. Propose process and technical improvements to management. Create specifications and technical documentation Troubleshoot medium to complex issues Lifecycle management – code upgrades, vulnerability patching and EOL replacement programs Analyze network packets with packet analysis tools like Wireshark, Opnet, etc Monitor network performance using monitoring tools (Syslog, Splunk, Tivoli ITM, Cisco CMCS, Netscout) *Requested Qualifications * 84+ months experience in planning, designing, configuring and implementing web and content filtering solutions using technology products such as F5/Websense, FortiGate, Bluecoat, Cisco SWG or Zscaler Candidate shall possess a CCNP and a CCDP certification. Candidate shall possess a CCIE certification. 84+ months experience planning, designing, configuring and implementing Next-Generation Firewalls using technology products such as such Palo Alto or Cisco Firepower.
