BOXI Developer
The Business Intelligence/Business Objects Developer is responsible for
creating Universes/Reports design, development and support for Business
Intelligence (BI) and reporting solutions to meet the business needs of our
clients and provide technical assistance to team members. This role works
closely with the business teams to deliver, maintain and troubleshoot, and
enhance BI functionality.
- 3+ years Reporting life cycle implementation experience in Business
Objects.
- 3+ years experience in BI / Datawarehouse development
- Strong knowledge of SQL; ability to write complex SQL queries and complex
stored procedures and understanding of DB Concepts.
- Day to day responsibilities can include, but is not limited to:
Creating Universes, Classes and Objects, reports, users and groups
Gathering requirements and Supporting users
Designing aggregated tables and Setting up hierarchies
Develops functional specifications and works with technical resources
to complete object development and testing
Development and documentation of technical designs, including data
models and universe design and development in report designs
Shares knowledge to provide value across multiple groups
- Ability to function independently and provide status and issue escalation
to lead.
- Ability to quickly absorb and understand data model, and functional
components of large software system.
- Familiar with ClearQuest, ClearCase
- Knowledge of Remedy is a plus
- Team Player, works collaboratively with various team members to accomplish
integrated solutions.
- Written Communication, writes in a clear, concise, organized, and
convincing manner for the intended audience (technical documentation,
e-mails, reports, etc.).
