*Job Role: **Lead SAN with EMC Engineer * Rate : Open Location: DC Duration: 4 Months Rate: Open (Local Candidates or All-Inclusive Rates) Citizenship: US OR Permanent Resident Lead EMC Engineer in the Reston area for a 4 month contract. The Storage Lead Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day activities, support, and project based work for an EMC SAN storage deployment within HCTC environment. This person will lead the storage environment for HCTC. The role will be responsible for maintaining a healthy and robust SAN network. Expected to work independently and with internal and external teams, plan and manage enterprise storage environment integrations and changes to the storage infrastructure. In addition to day-to-day support, this person will be expected to provide design support for project-based work as the HCTC program expands and changes. In addition to storage, this role will be required to lead the desktop workstream (~3 resources) and be responsible for over backup and restore functions of HCTC (~1 resource). This role will report to the Server Infrastructure Lead. Primary Task: Ensure a well maintained and supported EMC SAN storage deployment across two data centers. Provide project based support from design through implementation. Secondary Task: Provide leadership and direction for the desktop operations in HCTC environment. *Role Responsibilities:* o In-depth knowledge of EMC Clarion SAN infrastructure and Fiber Switching o In-depth knowledge of EMC RecoveryPoint SAN replication infrastructure o In-depth knowledge of Symantec Backup Exec 12 for backup/restore o Knowledge of VMware ESX 3.5 storage and best practices o Maintain capacity planning of SAN infrastructure and provide mitigation approaches o Installing, troubleshooting and configuring EMC Storage and EMC RecoveryPoint o Provide support from design through implementation for future projects o Ensuring current HCTC security policies and procedures are followed as it relates to Desktops and SAN infrastructure o Knowledge of Desktop imaging and patching o Ensure SAN infrastructure is monitored and proactively maintained o Work across teams (Windows, Application, and Network) to meet growth needs o Excellent oral and written communications skills required o Experience in disaster recovery o Create and maintain support runbooks, designs, and test plan.
