limited supervision or guidance. Typically, in order to do this, a
candidate for this position will need experience in manufacturing to
understand the various roles: production, maintenance, planning, HS&E, and
engineering in order to know where, within a facility, the information
necessary to develop a solution can be found.

Practical Application of Responsibilities:
•Design process from idea inception to technology selection

CAD software packages
•Strong communication and organizational skills
•Strong ethics and corporate loyalty
•Must be results oriented
•Must be a team player
•Must possess uncompromised commitment to quality

Preferred Qualifications/Requirements
•Current working knowledge of AutoCAD.

Electrical Engineer (Fairly well staffed, but we are open to a solid A+
candidate to add to the team)
?Candidates MUST have relevant heavy industrial experience. Looking for
more of an E&I Candidate vs. a candidate with extensive Controls
experience. I am open to an Instrumentation Engineer that has some E&I
experience. The instrumentation need won’t be a full 40 hour commitment, so
the candidate will need to have diversity in his skill set. Also seeking a
candidate with project management experience as well. AutoCAD experience is
preferred.
oThis is a VERY difficult role to fill. I hope the following information
will be helpful to you during your search:
?We need the “whole package”. We need the project management skills, as
well as the hands on/nuts and bolts of engineering skills. Need a Project
Manager that is also a “Day to Day” Engineer. This is a hard combination to
find.
?Project Management and hands on experience.
oAs far as Project Management he is looking for the following:
?Current experience with developing scopes of work from scratch (electrical
discipline)
?Current experience with developing cost estimates from scratch (electrical
discipline)
?Current experience using MS Project to develop E&D schedules and
Construction schedules (electrical discipline)
?Experience with designer oversight. Looking for a candidate that has been
responsible for managing designers…..making sure they stay within scope,
schedule, and budget.
?Experience checking drawings.
oAs far as hands on, he needs someone that can not only do the engineering
& design “day to day engineering”, but can also get out in the field to
trouble shoot.
•Strong with P&IDs
oWill need to have experience doing P&ID walk downs.
•Strong with instrumentation
oStrong knowledge of instrumentation and its applications.
oNeeds to have current experience selecting and specifying instrumentation.
•Strong knowledge of the NEC
•Looking for someone that references this on a regular basis for projects.
Not looking for someone to have this memorized, but can easily navigate
through the code book to get the information needed.
•Strong knowledge of both AC/DC Drive Technology and Integration
oThis needs to be current and working knowledge.
•Communication skills
oThis is where a lot of the Electrical Engineers crash and burn. We want
someone that can communicate well with not only there team here at PDI, but
the client as well. This position will have a lot of client interaction.
We cannot afford to bring someone on that we would be nervous about putting
in front of a client.
