The person we are looking for will have several years of Unix
administration skills within an application server environment. We would
prefer to have JBoss skills but 3-5 years as a WebLogic or WebSphere skills
would be ok. Shell scripting is a must (Bash, Korn, CSH, etc.. ) Perl would
be nice.
This person would be in charge of architectural maintenance by maintaining
the environments that support multiple code bases. They would be in charge
of 3 sets of servers that could support 3 different code branches for
parallel development. Maintain a complete SDLC from Development to Test to
Preview UAT to Production. Be able to follow instructions to rebuild BCC
for each of these environments.
Apache skills are a must, the ability to craft rewrite rules, understand
the complexity of a large vanity, mobile and functional rules and how they
all work together. Apache Vhosts, and uriworkers.
Jboss Configurations. Understand how to read logs to help troubleshoot
application issues, how to tune memory (Garbage collections)
Maintain java and apache certificates.
The ability to adapt to changing environments with Citrix and VPN
connections, be able to support eh BA team with technical questions related
to desktop support.
Must have the ability to confidently interact with other technical folks.
Medium level skills in Visio and PowerPoint for blueprints, document
maintenance, and new documentation.
