*Role : **VMware Architect*
*Location : **North Carolina*

Job requirements:
- Deep understanding of enterprise IT virtualization. Specifically,
orchestration and automation
· Experience with VMware’s vRA and vRO product sets
· Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef or
Puppet
· Experience with PowerShell and/or Java
Job duties:
· Review existing assessment and architecture diagrams with
customer and deliver project plan for vRealize Automation on vSphere 6.0
implementation. Project scope will incorporate a distributed environment
design for high availability.
· Work with staff to configure required Active Directory
users/groups and Microsoft SQL server databases.
· Provide technical guidance and assist with Install and configure
VMware vSphere 6.0
- Create a single vCenter Server protected by Fault Tolerence
- Create an external Platform Services Controller (PSC) to be used
for single sign-on
- Install and configure up to 10 ESXi hosts with version 6.0.
- Install and configure VMware Update Manager
· Provide technical guidance and assist with Install and configure
VMware vRealize Automation (vRA)
o Deploy two (2) vRealize Automation Cafe appliances in a load balanced
configuration using customer’s F5 appliance.
o Deploy up to two (2) vRealize Orchestrator appliances to integrate with
vRA for workflow processing.
§ Install additional plug-ins to vRO for orchestration of third-party
solutions from the VMware Solution Exchange.
o Install and configure two Microsoft Windows 2012 R2 VM running vRA IaaS
components using customer’s F5 appliances for load balancing web components.
§ Use an existing MS SQL 2012 Cluster for housing the database.
o Install DEM Orchestrator and Manager Services on both IaaS servers and
configure with customer’s F5 load balancer.
o Install and configure vSphere Agents on both IaaS servers for endpoint
connectivity to vCenter.
o Install and configure two DEM workers in the primary datacenter.
o Relocate vPostgreSQL database on vRA appliances to external PostgreSQL
server cluster for HA.
o Create certificates and assign to appliances/load balancers.
