*Technical Network Analyst Job Details:*



REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALITIES:



·         Significant experience in supporting network firewalls and
application firewalls

·         Significant experience in TCP/IP networking, including network
design and troubleshooting.

·         1 to 2 years of experience in network sniffers and packet
analysis. 1 to 2 years of experience in general security.



*DESIRED SKILLS/QUALITIES: *



·         Experience in a Linux operating systems.

·         Experience in supporting Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls and
IPS.

·         Experience in scripting languages such as Shell and Perl.

·         Strong customer service and results focus.

·         Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem resolution and decision making skills.

·         Working both independently and in a team environment. Ability to
handle competing priorities.

·         Able to consult other Business areas. Sound decision-making
ability regarding matters of moderate to high complexity and importance.

logically and systematically Self-motivated;

·         Ability to work independently on matters of moderate to high
complexity and importance with only broad direction. High technical
aptitude.



*Knowledge Needs*:

·         Need to Have:

- Troubleshooting skills

- Understand basics of IP addressing and general networking concepts

- General understanding of Firewall policy management and intrusion
prevention

- Experience and/or knowledge of network security technologies

- Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals is desired

-Experience of Load balancing technologies

-Experience with network sniffer software desirable



Nice to Have:

- Knowledgeable in State Farms system infrastructure

- Strong verbal communication skills to support remote individuals

- Be able to research and apply solutions per Knowledge Items (KIs) written
by 3rd level support teams

- Be able to own and work tickets based until resolution or document
progress to that it can be transitioned to personnel on the following shift.
