* Responsibilities:*
- Work on front, middle or back office platforms for leading investment
banks
- Involvement in projects such as building new trade capture systems or
real time, multithreaded risk portals
- Collaborate with bright enthusiastic consultants solving real world
problems
*Skills Required:*
- Overall 10 years of experience in programming and software
development, data analysis, testing, requirements definition and
management, and systems design
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Background in object-oriented design and analysis, software
specification including UML diagramming, and data modeling
- Preferred technical skills include:
- Business Objects XI
- Oracle/Sybase IQ database
- PL/SQL
- Crystal Reports
- Composite Software
- UNIX scripting
- ETL tools such as Ab Initio and Informatica
- Previous consulting/investment banking experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exposure to Capital Markets, including quantitative finance, valuation
methodologies, cross asset product knowledge, risk management, regulatory,
settlement, trading, accounting, market and reference data management
- Experience delivering performance, scalable systems
- Ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical people
