Position: *Infrastructure Architect* Location: Bothell, WA Duration:12+ months *Please find the below JD for your reference.* As an Infrastructure Architect you will work as a part of the Operations organization, specifically the Infrastructure Design team. The Infrastructure Architect will develop and maintain the high-level design plan for the overall logical and technical IT Infrastructure architecture that will impact our organization on an Enterprise basis. The Infrastructure Architect will gain organizational alignment for all high-level infrastructure plans related to but not limited to, Servers, Virtualization, and Storage; and initiate and participate in projects to evaluate technologies and methods for implementing these plans. The Infrastructure Architect will ensure successful implementation of strategic infrastructure solutions including the delivery of proof of concept and pilot projects. This position should have a board level understanding of Windows Operating systems, Unix Operating Systems (HP UX, AIX, and Oracle Enterprise Linux), server, and storage, networking, security, virtualization, and cloud technologies. Ability to translate disparate business strategies into comprehensive, pragmatic technology strategies and execution plans (roadmaps) to satisfy business strategy. •Ability to design and deliver solutions that factor in system performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, scalability while accounting for development and maintenance costs. •Broad experience and technical expertise with the software and hardware components of modern computing environments, including a deep knowledge and understanding of information technology approaches, applications, architectures, tools, and methodologies, as well as a broad-based background in a wide variety of technology platforms. •Has demonstrated depth and breadth of expertise in multiple related disciplines, such as Windows Operating systems, Unix Operating Systems (HP UX, AIX, and Oracle Enterprise Linux), server, storage, network, security, virtualization, and cloud technologies Enterprise systems Enterprise Architecture Frameworks Deep related domain expertise •Demonstrated ability in evaluating and recommending technologies as part of an overall strategic plan, including establishing priorities, developing long-range plans, and managing strategically. •Strong communication skills (written / verbal) with varied audiences •Experience explaining difficult concepts to decision makers to help shape technology strategy. Experience modeling as-is and to-be architectures based on business requirements •Solid grasp of the ITIL framework •Minimum 6-10 years related work experience Minimum 4 year degree in computer science or related discipline. Detailed knowledge of hardware, networking, database and applications in a large data center scenarios.
