Position: *Crystal Reports Architect * Location: Charlotte NC Duration: 30 Days Client: *Meridian Labs* Crystal Reports consultant to upgrade their existing server, migrate their data and make sure the reporting data is as accurate as possible. There is only one server involved. They have new hardware in place and need someone who can steer them away from the various migration pitfalls. The Crystal Reports Analyst will be responsible for the support of ETL processes and various database related task for the entire enterprise. The Crystal Reports Analyst should be comfortable with application development for ad-hoc queries, Crystal Reports, Visual Studio, SQL, Web Forms and .NET techniques. *Required Skills: * • 5+ years’ experience in Database Design, Development & Support of MS SQL Server 2008/ for Production /development • 5+ years of experience with other relational databases, Visual Studio 2010, .NET, Active Directory • 5+ years’ experience in Crystal Reports 2013/20011/2008 • Proficiency in Rational Database management System (RDBMS) • Experienced in Transact-SQL (DDL, DML, DCL) and in Design and Normalization of database tables. • Experienced in implementing business logic in Triggers, Indexes, Views, and Stored procedures • Experienced in monitoring SQL Server Performance and using SQL Profiler, Index Tuning Wizard and Windows Performance Monitor • Solid analytical skills; ability to think strategically and can turn ideas into actions • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully • Must be able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Experience in Business Intelligence with Reporting services SSRS, SSIS, and Crystal Reports • Understanding of JAVA, .NET, C# and VBA preferred Technical Skills RDBMS/DBMS: MS SQL Server 7.0/2008/2005/2000, Sybase, SQL Server BIDS, SSMS, SSIS Reporting Tools: SQL Server Reporting Tools (SSRS), Crystal Reports XI, Adobe, Database Tools: Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer, SQL Profiler, Data Transformation, Replication, Upgrade Wizard, Jobs, and Task creating scheduling Operating Systems: Windows Server 2008, Windows 7/XP/2000/95NT, Linux Prog Language: T-SQL, Java, Visual Basic, .NET, C# *Job Function/Duties * Ability to migrate Crystal Reports into newer version. Migrate pdf reports, excel reports into Crystal environment. Collect, analyze and implement end-user requirements. Design and implement data queries to gather needed information, performing custom ad-hoc queries for clients and internal staff to meet business requirements. Ability to handle critical tasks and deadlines. Develop standards and guidelines to guide the use and acquisition of software and to protect vulnerable information. Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes. Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications. Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure. Approve, schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems, such as the installation of new databases. Establish and calculate optimum values for database parameters, using manuals and calculator. Develop data model describing data elements and how they are used, following procedures and using pen, template or computer software. Develop methods for integrating different products so they work properly together, such as customizing commercial databases to fit specific needs. Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project. Review procedures in database management system manuals for making changes to database. Collaborate with other team members to investigate, troubleshoot and validate reports.
