This individual will play a key role in the Production Support Services organization, from an IT application support perspective, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of transactions, tracking and reporting via metrics, create dashboards and control reports to ensure that transactions are processing accurately and timely. The Senior Engineer ensures that transaction fallout is identified, categorized, aged and remediated/escalated and that there is transparency around the status reporting, including the implementation and management of IT controls, processes and procedures. This role requires a combination of strong analytical, planning, communications and hands-on technical skills. *Duties and Responsibilities: * • Operation support of IT Middleware Application Infrastructure and Systems for Telematics Services • Maintains documentation of current middleware Architecture and any enhancements and upgrades • Assists with selection and implementation of proper monitoring solutions for the environment • Monitors performance analysis, fine tuning, and writing of monitoring based rules and alerts • Ensures availability, stability and performance of integrated Telematics (Tibco) ESB platform. • Supports the integration of existing and new applications within the SOA Infrastructure • Organizes / performs operation support and troubleshoots application/system level issues • Ensures compliance and proper implementation of enterprise standards, policies and security compliance. • Ensures high availability, stability and performance of ESB Middleware components based on the enterprise standards. Maintains a highly scalable and integrated enterprise messaging platform • Provide on-call support; designing and implementing effective application controls and monitors; defining and publishing operational metrics; support the telematics end-to-end process audit, meeting established SLA’s and data quality standards. • Identify, track and remediate control weaknesses of Telematics, Auto Renewal, Email Confirmation and other key Subscriber, and Data Management System functions. Includes creating and supporting dashboards, metrics and reporting to isolate and mitigate control weaknesses, data quality issues and revenue leakage. • Work closely with the business, project and IT teams to remediate Telematics and integrated systems for system enhancement and to drive remediation of software defects, configuration and performance issues; which impacts production processing, data quality. • Experience creating System Run Books, defining day-to-day support, maintenance, troubleshooting knowledgebase of the complex application environment. *Supervisory Responsibilities: *There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this job *Minimum Qualifications: * • 6+ years of experience in supporting Java application in complex production support environment • 6+ year’s demonstrated experience managing complex production system, data and process issues and the ability to communicate clear, concise status and impacts to all levels of the organization. • 3+ years’ hands-on experience with JMS compliant products and tools such as – TIBCO (ActiveMatrix BusinessWork, ServiceGateway, EMS, Hawk, Tibco Admin…etc), Mule ESB, etc. Experience in troubleshooting (Preferred): clustering, messaging patterns (synchronous request / reply, publish/subscribe, etc.) • 3+ years’ experience with implementation of complex IT operational processes and procedures, including experience with data quality tracking and remediation. • Bachelor's degree, equivalent work experience or a combination of education and experience. *Requirements and General Skills: * • Demonstrated ability to create and present presentations and reports • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and in a team environment • Ability to pay attention to details and be organized • Commitment to “internal client” and customer service principles • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects • Experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle. • Must have legal right to work in the U.S. *Technical Skills: * • 7+ Years previous experience in Information Technology • 2+ Experience in design and development of medium to complex ESB solutions using TIBCO Enterprise Messaging Service (EMS), BusinessWorks and Hawk • 2+ Knowledge of Java, J2EE, and SOA and TIBCO Database • Working knowledge of web services and REST • Knowledge in UNIX and Windows Operating Systems with Unix Scripting being a plus • Good understanding of JMS, JDBC, and JTA and their proper use in robust back-end applications and services • Experience working with RDBMS such as Oracle and/or MSSQL (complex SQLs and light PL/SQL development ability a plus) • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) • Experience working with high-volume, transaction processing, enterprise Billing and A/R systems; Oracle BRM experience preferred • Hands-on experience in Java (Web application development experience preferred) • Hands-on experience creating complex Excel spreadsheets, utilizing and creating sophisticated Excel analysis and data processing tools using advanced formulas, ActiveX controls, dashboards, database queries, pivot tables, charts • Knowledge of Business Intelligence / data warehousing (Preferred)Experience using historical data as predictive tools for metrics and trending • Experience supporting complex systems and processes (Subscriber Management Systems such as Oracle BRM preferred). • Knowledge of Business Intelligence / data warehousing including understanding of data mining principles (Teradata Preferred).
