Job Description:The Infrastructure Support Engineer
Dallas, TX

The Infrastructure Support Engineer Level III is responsible for the day to
day administration, support, architecting, and engineering new solutions.
The individual must have Oracle Solaris Unix and Linux current experience
along with Red hat Enterprise Linux current experience. The individual
should have Dell Compellent or similar SAN and JBOD experience. The
individual must be self-motivated and follow through on tasks and projects
presented to them. The goal of the associate is to positively impact
customer satisfaction and expand internal visibility of customer problems
by managing complex, mission critical issues from all server and related
environments.




Job Requirements: *Day to day duties include but are not limited to the
following: *

* Plans, installs, administers, designs, troubleshoots, and supports
internal systems, applications, networks, telephony, servers, desktops, and
security
* Response to support tickets using the ticketing system following IT SM
processes
* Escalation handling of issues from Level I and II support
* Assisting users of various enterprise products
* Inventory control
* Works closely with various IT and business groups to promote adherence to
policies
* This position requires an excellent technical background and is expected
to stay abreast of the current and future technologies
* Act responsibly as a representative of the Client's Corporate IT
department
* Suggests creative and efficient programs, guidelines, methods, and
procedures to enhance the quality of services provided by the IT department
* Evaluates and prioritizes support, escalations, projects and documents
all support tasks
* Acts as Level III resource for all Infrastructure needs (escalated
end-user support, some telecom support, some network support, advanced
server support)
* Create, update, and maintain Operational IT policies and procedures
* Participate and maintain the ITIL- like change control process
* Performs other duties as assigned

* Project Management
* Knowledge of IT and QA processes
* Detail-oriented with risk management mindset
* Excellent Verbal, Written and Presentation skills
* 4+ yrs hands-on experience with PCs, LAN, WAN, and printers
* Advanced level of computer hardware and software troubleshooting ability
* Must be customer service oriented and have good interpersonal skills
* Ability to work within a team structure and independently with little
supervision
* Proficiency with current Microsoft end user products and operating systems
* Some understanding of TCP/IP networks and addressing schemes and subnets
* Strong inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to convey
technical concepts in layman terms to non-technical end-users
* Ability to research and learn new technologies and business applications
quickly
* Self-directed/motivated with the ability to work and solve problems
independently

The ideal candidate should have:
* Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in IT or certifications such
as RHCE/RHCA, Oracle Certified Associate, Oracle Solaris 10 Operating
System/Oracle Certified Professional, Oracle Solaris 10 System
Administrator.
