Business Reason/Justification: We need a resource to fill a vacant
Salesforce.com developer position to provide support for our production
Salesforce.com instances and related integrations, and to perform design and
build tasks for projects and enhancement requests submitted by the business
(Sales, Customer Service, Billing, Product)
Job Description: The primary responsibilities for this role include the
following:
This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining,
configurations, custom code and integrations for a Salesforce.com CRM
implementation, with additional application development responsibilities. This
position will report to the CRM Application IT Manager, and will be responsible
for the following:
. Design, prototype, build and support solutions for the
Salesforce.com CRM to meet business needs, including configurations,
customizations and integrations
. Work with Application Architects and Tech Leads to design
integrations between Salesforce.com and other systems across the enterprise
. Create and maintain design specifications and related technical
documentation
. Participate in requirements and design reviews.
. Code / configure, unit test and create supporting documentation
for application development tasks
. Provide support for testing and deployment
. Participate in project planning activities to provide input on
work effort and cost estimates
. Create and verify execution of software test plans, including
integration, capacity and performance testing
. Provide support for the production environment including incident
management and resolution
. Work with business partners to realize the full capabilities of
Salesforce.com CRM to meet business requirements and implement efficient
workflows
. Identify and plan for system upgrades including vendor hardware
and software upgrades
Qualified candidates will have the following experience:
. 5+ years application development and design experience
. 3+ years experience developing applications for the
Salesforce.com platform
. Strong working knowledge of APEX (classes and web services),
Visual Force, Salesforce APIs, SOQL, Force.com platform.
. Demonstrated experience building integrations with
Salesforce.com.
. Working knowledge of the Cast Iron integration appliance
. Strong working knowledge of Salesforce.com platform
out-of-the-box functionality and configuration
. Experience working with business partners to review and
understand business and functional requirements is preferred
. Experience with and understanding of software development life
cycle methodologies
Certifications:
. Certified Force.com Developer (DEV-401) or equivalent experience
. Certified Force.com Advanced Developer (DEV-501) or equivalent
experience
. Certified Salesforce.com Administrator (ADM-201) or equivalent
experience is preferred
Other technical skills and experience:
. Strong communication skills including written and verbal
. Solid understanding of relational database and SOA concepts
. Strong working knowledge of XML, HTML/DHTML, Javascript
. Working knowledge of Java
. Demonstrated experience building applications that consume web
services
. Working knowledge of Python / Django is a plus
. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or
equivalent work experience
. Excels in a team environment; Able to work independently with
minimal supervision
