*Duration: 8-12 Months*
*Mandatory Skills:*
- Experience in *Agile Methodology is MUST*
- Need to have extensive experience in *Code Migrations is MUST.*
- Experience Rational team concert *(RTC) is Good to have*
- Should have good exposure to RTC features like Source control, Build
configuration, Create String, Create a work space within the repository and
Debug the work space.
- Worked in the *Weblogic Environment is a MUST.*
*Job Description:*
*Build OR Release Specialist*
- Proven leadership in an agile delivery environment in the areas of
Build Management, Release Management, Change Management, Configuration
Management, Software Inventory and related documentation.
- Excellent understanding of software development processes and
methodologies with specific knowledge in areas of Development, and Quality
Assurance in relationship to the Agile SDLC. Experience in a Software
Factory Model is desired.
- Process design and implementation of efficient procedures for the
distribution and installation of changes to software application
- Ensure a streamlined process to enable lowest rate of defect injection
during build and deployment
- Responsible for the daily build and deployment activities for
development projects which include but not limited to:
- Ensure code labeling standards across development community
- Creating, maintaining and managing code, branching and merging
- Developing build-scripts for automated builds using industry standard
tools
- Determining change sets to be included in a requested build
- Deploying builds to the appropriate environments
- Maintaining deployment environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Production)
- Work as an enabler to achieve continuous integration and coordinate
with Release management team of the Enterprise on a complementary mode
- Work with the development and QA teams to ensure quality and timely
deployments in respective environments
- Collaborate with appropriate teams to ensure open communication about
release impacts, risks
- and release schedules, etc
- Experience in tools like Star Team, Jira, DOORS, Cruise control,
Hudson, *Rational Team Concert*/RUP/RAD, HP ALM
