Role: Sr. Systems Analyst
Location: San Diego, CA
The Sr. Systems Analyst role performs key functions within the Finance
Performance Management (FPM) team, part of Corporate Finance I.T. This role
will work directly with Client's Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and all
tools used to deliver data to end users. In addition to managing
applications, there are a number of critical business relationships that
are maintained, that require the ability to manage both production concerns
and long term project implementations.
Primary Responsibilities :
* Conduct requirements gathering sessions, prepare functional
specifications in consultation with the business teams, and communicate
with the development and management teams
* Accountability as a point of contact managing critical business
relationships and their development requirements.
* Provide general support to assist with all FPM Projects and
supporting applications and services
* Lead new product demonstrations, testing sessions, and other
meetings with end users as required
Skills/Experience: Must have:
* Knowledge of planning, budgeting, and forecasting functions and
finance business processes
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management,
developers, and end users
* Foster a positive and constructive relationship with customers,
peers, and matrix team members
* Have the ability to rapidly absorb and implement new technologies
and processes Additional
Skills Desired:
* Project Management Experience
* Data Validation and Quality Assurance experience
* Familiar with Data Warehouse best practices and data modeling
(Kimball, Inman)
* Experience with using TM1 or other OLAP reporting tools in
conjunction with Oracle databases
* Relational database development and design knowledge - Oracle, SQL
skills
Education Required:
* Bachelor's, Accounting and/or Computer Science and/or Finance
and/or Information Technology
