*Title : Data Modeler Location : Albany, NY Duration : 6 Months Rate : $50/Hr* Seeking the services of a Data Modeler Analyst with demonstrated data analysis and modeling experience and a familiarity with Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and related technologies. These experiences must include facilitating Joint Application Development Sessions, designing and managing data models for real-time business applications, experience with relational database concepts, preferably Oracle, and familiarity with data model frameworks. Candidates should have at least two years experience utilizing at least one data modeling tool, at least two years experience designing and implementing physical database structures, specifically for an Oracle relational database management system, including table creation, indexing, check constraints and triggers. Additionally, the Data Modeler must demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbal and written, strong analytical/problem solving experience to deal with complex business problems and good interpersonal and organizational skills. This individual must be a detail oriented, independent thinker. They must demonstrate excellent judgment within defined standards, best practices and patterns in ambiguous situations and must be able to multi-task to meet critical deliverable dates. Other valuable experience includes: 1. Familiarity and experience using CA ERwin Data Modeler or IBM InfoSphere Data Architect (formerly Rational Data Architect). 2. Demonstrated experience with PL/SQL, Java and/or XML 3. Experience working in the Public Sector, especially with a background in Human Services. 4. Familiarity with Rational Unified Process (RUP) and Object Oriented Programming. 5. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with data quality management. 6. Demonstrated data warehousing experience, including the extraction, transformation and loading of data. 7. Strong Communication as presented in an interview where candidate will demonstrate the required knowledge, skill sets and abilities as indicated in the Contractor's Proposal. 8.
