Main Duties: • The candidate will be responsible for managing and building the data behind the Securitized Products analytics engine. • Work will be in Linux. • Securitized Products is a very data-intensive environment, where large amounts of data being handled. Development and design work in this role has to be cognizant of the systems performance, throughput and resource consumption. • Tasks will include working with Research, Trading and Quantitative Analytics teams on agency and non-agency data. Basic Requirements: • Four-year college degree + 5+ years of experience , a Masters degree or higher is a plus. •* 3+ year of knowledge of Database (SQL or Oracle Preferred) including skills with queries, stored procedures, indices on tables etc.* *• Degree in Computer Science or related field or 8+ years of experience with some / any programming languages.* *• 3+ years of basic working knowledge of linux.* *• 3+ year of knowledge of shell scripting, sed, awk etc.* *• Knowledge of fundamentals of C. No work experience in C necessary.* *• 3+ year of knowledge of scripting languages (preferably Perl).* Preferred Qualifications: Enthusiastic and open to learning about Securitized Products data. • Enthusiastic about learning existing systems and code base and willingness to do support. • Experience / Knowledge of data-intensive, computationally heavy systems. • Knowledge of Securitized Products business or data preferred. Willingnees to learn. • Experience / Knowledge with Autosys or batch scheduler. • Strong Communication skills. • A team player, very team-oriented. • Knowledge of SAS , not essential.
