*Position: DATA ANALYST* *Location: NYC* *Duration: 6-12 months* NEED A BI ANALYST WITH PL-SQL & DATABASES WITH DATA MODELING *Job brief* ASCAP is looking for a motivated individual to perform the duties of a Data Analyst. You will conduct activities that will include, among other things, requirements analysis and design, analysis and reporting capabilities. Detailed responsibilities are as follows. *Responsibilities* Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems Filter and “clean” data from multiple sources and of multiple formats. Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs Locate and define new process improvement opportunities *Requirements* Proven working experience as a data analyst. Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong PL-SQL skills and understanding of Databases. Must be adept at writing queries. Ability to compare and analyze data from various sources to determine differences and or patterns. Must exhibit strong communication skills and ability to interpret business requirements and translate to data model.
