*****EAD,GC,USC Can Apply *******Please reply to my Official id : **[email protected] <[email protected]> * Location: Cedar Rapids, IA Duration: 6 Month Contract-to-Hire (Have to be Hirable) Interview Method: Skype (if not local) Skill Set: VMware/vSphere 5.x The Virtualization Engineer will be primarily responsible for maintaining and providing operational support for AEGON's virtualized environment. Candidates must have significant experience working with VMware/vSphere 5.x. Responsibilities include building ESX hosts, troubleshooting VMware host issues, building out and supporting networks with standard switches and distributed switches, patching Vmware hosts, troubleshooting environmental performance issues, assisting other teams with vm server troubleshooting, powershell scripting and automation, vCops, some SAN/storage knowledge, and project planning. The ability to effectively use, create and modify the appropriate operational and process documentation for Vmware environments. Responsibilities also include ensuring that the various virtualized environments and related services that have been implemented maintain operational integrity. This is typically accomplished by operational reviews of the VMware infrastructure configuration using various tools, provisioning, and change management. In addition, this position will work as a consultant with various internal customers to provide information pertaining to troubleshooting, user support and education, documentation and planning. Qualified candidates must have basic knowledge in supporting a VMware server environment. Proven experience with problem solving in VMware administration including knowledge of Windows 7 clients and Windows 2003/2008/2012 servers. A good understanding of storage, networks, and DNS is required. A background in troubleshooting, interpreting logs, and analyzing performance data is desired. Knowledge of the following is also a plus: Hitachi/EMC storage, Brocade networks, Cisco UCS environments. Planning, project organization skills, and the ability to multi-task with competing priorities are also required. Candidates must possess a four year degree in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge. VMware Certification is preferred.
