Application Developers analyze, design, construct, train, and implement application systems. Activities include documenting decisions, adhering to standards and communicating with business groups. Other responsibilities may include providing standards/guidelines for development, responding to customer/client requests or events as they occur, and developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment. We deliver Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) applications using tools like Ab Initio (AI) and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to support Enterprise data in the Enterprise Data Warehouse. The Enterprise Data Warehouse primarily runs on Teradata and we are expanding our scope to include SQL Server and other Big Data Solutions. We work with data architects/analysts to refine and validate designs, work with application teams to test and validate solutions, and work with BI solution designers and DBAs to tune solutions to meet performance requirements. We also define processes for packaging change, release management, and support of solutions.
