Details-

Our Client, a world leading Financial Services firm, has immediate
opportunities for experienced Applications Quality Assurance Analysts to
join their team on a long-term contract basis. Positions are available in
the Chicago and Dallas/Ft. Worth area locations. Selected candidates will
have experience in high transaction financial clearing environments,
critical batch processing, expertise in financial applications including
knowledge of pricing models, derivatives, quantitative data, and a
commitment to a zero failure applications testing scenario. Proven full
SDLC Quality Assurance Engineering background required, with exceptional
communication skills, documentation skills and precise attention to detail,
while building strong relationships across the organization. Proven SDLC
Quality Engineering expertise in Mainframe Environments (DB2) with
WebServices Applications (XML, Java) and nTier landscape.



Summary:

The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst works with other Analysts and
development teams and is accountable to all application standards and
requirements. Must have proven experience in Quality Assurance process
including, test planning and preparation, generating test cases and
scripts, reporting upon and coordinating test environments and activities,
execution of test scripts, recording results in a defect tracking tool, and
provide general mentoring on sound testing practices.



•            Works with project team throughout the SDLC analysis, design,
development, and successful implementation of developed
systems/applications.

•            Carry requirement reviews to identify missing or incomplete
requirements.

•            Provide design/technical reviews to identify missing,
incomplete or inaccurate design assumptions or design choices.

•            Authors test design documentation using structured,
model-based techniques to insure completeness and accuracy. Leads cross
team review of this documentation and independently follows up on any
feedback received.

•            Expertise in regression, integration, and systems testing on
newly designed or modified applications/systems.

•            Thoroughly analyzes, tests, and documents software quality to
ensure proper implementation.

•            Composing, monitoring, updating defect reports through
resolution

•            Consistently and professionally keeping design/development
accountable to defect resolution.

•            Follows agreed upon SDLC procedures: explicit and implicit
quality standards, end-user functional requirements, architectural
standards, performance requirements, audit requirements, security rules are
upheld, and external facing reporting is properly represented.

•            Recommending quality improvements following application and
project risk analysis.

•            Assists Production Support by testing time sensitive defects
and providing advice on system functionality.

•            Communicates in a clear and concise manner all time delays or
defects in the software immediately to appropriate team members and
management



•            Broad based knowledge of the development lifecycle, analytical
business modeling, change control management, requirements management,
environment management, and risk analysis using statistical metrics.

•            Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise
manner to a variety of audiences

•            Proficient in Software Testing and Quality Assurance
Methodologies.

•            Ability to interact with IT managers and build strong
relationships with business users.

•            Solid hands-on batch processing experience.



Financial Models Experience (are a plus):

•            Time series models (Calibration)

•            Probability theory (expectation, variance, correlation,
Central-Limit Theorem)

•            Probability distribution (such as normal, student-t,
log-normal distributions)

•            Stochastic process (e.g. Brownian, Ornstein-Uhlenbeck)

•            Monte-Carlo Simulation

•            Risk Management Measures (VaR)

•            Black-Scholes model

•            Cox-Ross-Rubinstein model



Technical Skills:

•            Client/Server experience (i.e. Java, JSP, Servlet, C++, HTML,
UNIX, Visual Basic, SQL).

•            Mainframe experience (i.e. COBOL, JCL, IDMS/ADSO, CICS).

•            Database experience (i.e. Informix, Sybase, SQL Server, DB2).

•            Automated Testing Tool experience (i.e. Load Runner, Quick
Test Pro)

•            Scheduling package experience (i.e. UC4, CA7, Autosys)

•            Analysis Tools (R, Matlab) are a plus

•            Developing test cases / scenarios using structured test
methods.
