Must have understanding of Extraction, Transformation and Load (ETL). -- Oracle, Java, C++, UNIX. Title: Oracle 10g Real Application Cluster (RAC) DBA Minimum Experience: 3 yrs. Job Location: Virginia Beach, VA, United States Job Description The high level business goals for any engagement will be :- -- Validation of current environment and configuration -- Product installation and initial configuration services for the Oracle RAC -- Failover testing and initial configuration Key Project Tasks: -Verify storage configurations, including Oracle Clusterware(OCR, Voting), ASM, and backup -Verify network configuration for public and private Interconnects (all nodes) -Verify OS patches and Oracle kernel parameters (all nodes) -Create/verify OS user and groups account for Oracle -Verify local storage for software installation (all nodes) -Stage Oracle software media to server (clusterware, database, companion CD) -Run cluster verification utility • Install Oracle clusterware • Install ASM software -Install Database software • Patch Oracle clusterware, ASM, database software to various releases • Create test databases -Perform failover test cases • Repeat for production environment.
