Med, Chong Feng,

I would like to add a few points on the Relationship between AC being discussed
in OPSAWG and the NeoTec:

  * AC focuses on the interface connecting the CE to the PEs for delivering
specific services.
  * NeoTec focuses on the interface between Network Controller and Cloud
Orchestrator to optimize specific flows among PEs and Cloud DCs.

If end points in Cloud DC request a specific SLA for their connection to other
endpoints hosted in different Cloud DCs, it can achieve similar goal as NeoTec.
Here are some key differences between AC and NeoTec:

AC:

  * Decentralized requests: initiated by individual endpoints. Each with
limited visibility to other end points.
  * Can lack awareness of network-wide resource states.
  * Existing AC YANG models describe and manage connectivity at the edge of
a network, specifically at the CE to PE interface, such as AC configuration,
policies, and QoS at the CE-PE interface.
NeoTec:

  * Centralized control via Cloud Orchestrator, which has global visibility.
  * Aware of service instances and their performance in Cloud DCs
  * NeoTec will require extensions beyond AC YANG models , such as real-time
visibility into network path, Service Function Awareness, etc.

The YANG models for AC can serve as a baseline for NeoTec's interface
configurations, QoS policies, and monitoring of edge connectivity. However,
they would need to be extended or augmented to support NeoTec’s requirements
for Dynamic SLA enforcement, Real-time visibility into cloud service instances
and network paths, etc.

Thanks, Linda

Subject: [neotec] NeoTec:Relation with AC/OPSAWG

Hi Med,

[Med]: The interconnection between cloud/network can be seen as an AC. You may
want elaborate in your WG relationships below the link with OPSAWG.

Thank you for your raising AC in cloud/network scenario and suggestion of
adding relationship of NeoTec with OPSAWG. I think you are talking about the
interconnection between the devices in cloud and network. We are aware of the
data model for AC management in OPSAWG. Here we consider the interaction
between the controllers of network and cloud, and that with services, they
should have a correlation with AC. That said, we will consider the
relationship with OPSAWG.

Best regards
Chongfeng
