Hi Authors, all, FWIW, you may find a review of this draft at:
* pdf: https://github.com/boucadair/IETF-Drafts-Reviews/blob/master/2024/draft-ietf-opsawg-ipfix-gtpu-00-rev%20Med.pdf * doc: https://github.com/boucadair/IETF-Drafts-Reviews/raw/refs/heads/master/2024/draft-ietf-opsawg-ipfix-gtpu-00-rev%20Med.doc Overall: * The various IPFIX IEs are mirroring fields in the GTP-U header/packet. * Some of the IE names is unfortunate (e.g., use of flags to refer to the version), but that's easy to fix. * Also, given that a flag is not assigned yet (?), I suggest that the text insists that the export is based on what is observed. The exporter has not to know the internal structure of the gtpuFlags for example. * There might be IEs that might be useful here (length, tunnel peer, list of extension headers, etc.). * The presence of some IEs depends on the flags setting. A check at the collector side might be worth to elaborate (E, for example). * For the use case section, I think some background is needed to digest the examples. Some of this can be achieved by simple references to the bunch of slicing drafts (see the explicit pointers provided in the review). * The 3GPP spec include a case where tools to troubleshoot are important (e.g., zero udp checksum). I see a value in discussing how the use of the various IPFIX IEs can help here. * Some more meaningful description text is needed for the various IEs. Hope this helps.
