Alec & Lincoln,
The opnfv.slack.com workspace was created before my involvement in the
project. I found admins and bugged them to bestow me with admin rights as
well.  We use slack ALL THE TIME in the LF - OPNFV seems to prefer
technology from 1988 (aka IRC) - but I have successfully engaged a few of
the TSC members in using slack for short, ad hoc exchanges. I think the
bottom line is, there is no one messaging solution that meets all the
communities needs so we're stuck with these islands of communications.
