Hi,

Definitely agree with Cedric's nomination!

I would like to nominate
  *   Nominees name: Tomi Juvonen
  *   Nominees organization: Nokia
  * Nominees e-mail address: [email protected]
  * Award Category (see list above): “Integration"
  * Brief nominating statement explaining why the individual deserves an
award: Tomi has been working on the rolling maintenance and upgrade feature in
OpenStack for many years, and the capability has been demonstrated lately in
the LF Networking stand in ONS NA. The work is done now mainly in the OpenStack
project Fenix (that Tomi started himself) but it has been integrated in OPNFV
Doctor -- hence the category is integration. There is an ongoing discussion to
support ETSI-specified interfaces in Fenix, and the project has raised the
interest of operators with huge OpenStack installations. Fenix now supports
OpenStack Tacker and Vitrage, and there is discussion about Blazar requirements.
The OPNFV Doctor project is one of the oldest OPNFV projects, it is being
actively developed, and it has been and can be demoed at industry events. It
also implements a solution to an important use case that will become more
relevant as OpenStack installations mature.

release #awards

Many people have done a great job, and deserve the recognition. I am
particularly amazed by one developer after I saw the Bitergia data. Here is my
nomination:

  *   Nominees name: Cedric Ollivier
  *   Nominees organization: Orange
  * Nominees e-mail address: [email protected]
  * Award Category (see list above): “Code development” and “Testing” (2
categories)
  * Brief nominating statement explaining why the individual deserves an
award:
     * In the past six month, he has contributed ~42% of commits of overall
community (902/2162) based on Bitergia data I just saw.
     * One person with 40%+ of commits shows me his dedication, and how great
he has contributed to the community.
Thank you for consideration
Bin

Reminder...

I've received very few nominations, so far. I know that there are folks doing
good work for the OPNFV community. Let's make sure they get recognized. Please
send me those nominations.

Team,

With the Hunter 8.0 release behind us. I'd like to kick off the nomination
period for community awards. Per the community awards procedure, we have the
following award categories (with the number of winners in parentheses).

  *   Code development (3)
  *   Community support/leadership (3)
  *   Integration (3)
  *   Testing (3)
  *   Interns (2)

Please send your nominations for the above categories by responding to this
email by 12 noon, Pacific, on June 7.

In your nomination, please specify:

  *   Nominees name
  *   Nominees organization
  *   Nominees e-mail address
  * Award Category (see list above)
After I receive the nominations, I'll send a SurveyMonkey link to the
tech-discuss list for voting.

Unfortunately, there is not sufficient time prior to the LFN DDF+Plugfest to
complete the nomination and vote, so the award winners will be announced via
email some time in the second half of June.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

David
