Hi Bryan-

I have installed Devstack Newton release with proposed local.conf.

When I run the tacker-setup.sh as below, I get the following error.

stack@openstack-dev:/opt/tacker$ sudo bash tacker-setup.sh init
tacker-setup.sh: Sun Feb 26 21:31:26 IST 2017 Setup shared virtual folders and
save this script there
mkdir: cannot create directory '/opt/tacker': File exists
cp: 'tacker-setup.sh' and '/opt/tacker/./tacker-setup.sh' are the same file
cp: cannot stat './tacker/tacker.conf.sample': No such file or directory
tacker-setup.sh: Sun Feb 26 21:31:26 IST 2017 Setup admin-openrc.sh
tacker-setup.sh: line 58: /opt/tacker/admin-openrc.sh: No such file or directory
tacker-setup.sh: Sun Feb 26 21:31:26 IST 2017 Test Failed!
tacker-setup.sh: Sun Feb 26 21:31:26 IST 2017 Duration = 0 seconds

Do I need any other openstack modules to be installed?

Please help me in this regard.

(glaring error in my notes below, corrected!) You should be able to run these
tests on Devstack (it previously say "should not" for some freudian reason).

The patch I mentioned on the call (minutes:
https://wiki.opnfv.org/display/models/Models+Meetings) to the vHello_Tacker.sh
script and related utilities has been merged:
https://gerrit.opnfv.org/gerrit/#/c/27355/

You should be able to run this test on a devstack environment (OPNFV
environment tests are pending). Some notes on that are included in the script
header. Here are the other notes from the call about it:
· Devstack environment expectations
· stable/newton branch deployed
· Host config recommendations: i7 class CPU, 8-core, 16GB RAM, min
500GB disk
· If running devstack in a VM: use VM parameters 8GB RAM, 20GB disk, 2
cores, and base the Devstack install on a Newton-supporting OS version e.g.
Ubuntu Xenial
· The local.conf I use has been merged as part of the patch:
https://git.opnfv.org/models/tree/tests/utils/devstack/local.conf
· The vHello_Tacker.sh test has been updated to put the minimum
expectations on the host from which you run the test (e.g. no Openstack python
clients (OSC) need to be installed - all Openstack commands are executed in the
docker container in which Tacker is running). If you want to run Openstack
commands directly, you can use the commands:
· sudo docker attach tacker
· source /tmp/tacker/admin-openrc.sh (needs to be run only the first
time you attach)
· run OSC commands. The clients pre-installed are
python-openstackclient and python-neutronclient only, You can install others,
just note that you may need to clone/checkout the stable/newton version, and
follow the procedure to install as shown in the install_client function of the
tacker-setup.sh script
(https://git.opnfv.org/models/tree/tests/utils/tacker-setup.sh)
· You can also run tests via the new utility I created to setup an
OSC-based test environment using docker:
https://git.opnfv.org/models/tree/tests/utils/osclient.sh
· Instructions on how to use osclient.sh are included as comments. This
script helps isolate the openstack dependencies (python etc) from your host
machine, which e.g. will be useful if you are testing multiple versions of
Openstack and don't want to mess up your host, or use virtualenv.

Agenda for today is at https://wiki.opnfv.org/display/models/Models+Meetings
Light agenda. I am mostly focused on trying to get Danube support completed
before the upcoming feature freeze. Likely will not have functest integration
by then but the basic Hello World test should be compatible with as many
installers as I have time/resources to verify.
Other topics welcome.

Thanks,
