Hi all, FYI, there will be an SDN & NFV DevRoom in FOSDEM again this year - when the call for participation goes online, I will share it again, but I wanted to let y'all know now so that you could get a weekend in Sunny Brussels on your calendars for February 4-5, 2017!
Thanks, Dave. -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: FOSDEM 2017 - Selected devrooms Date: Wed, 5 Oct 2016 15:04:45 +0200 From: Johan van Selst <[email protected]> To: [email protected] CC: [email protected] To everybody who submitted a devroom request, The devrooms listed below have been selected for FOSDEM 2017. As usual, we had a lot more submissions than we have rooms available. So we have made a selection of the proposals. We received some submissions for very similar topics in which case we selected one of them. However, we hope that submitters can work together to create a good program track for FOSDEM. We also left out some long time participants to give other projects a chance as well this year. We shall announce the selection on our website shortly. Day and room allocations will be announced later. We are going to use the devroom-managers mailing list to provide general information about what you need to do next. It is pretty much the same as last year for those of you who did it before. - BSD - Backup and Disaster Recovery - Community - Config management - Desktops - Distributions - Electronic Design Automation - Embedded, mobile and automotive (both days) - Free Java - GNU Guile (half day) - Geospatial - Go - Graph - HPC, Big Data, and Data Science - Internet of Things - LLVM Toolchain - Legal and Policy Issues devroom (both days) - Linux Containers and Microservices - Lua (half day) - Microkernels and Component-based OS - Monitoring and Cloud - Mozilla - MySQL and Friends - Open Document Editors - Open Game Development - Open Media - Open Source Design - Outside centralisation - PHP and Friends - Perl - PostgreSQL - Python - Real Time Communications - Ruby - SDN and NFV - Security - Software Defined Radio - Software Defined Storage - Testing and Automation - Valgrind - Virtualisation and IaaS Note: a request for Open Document Editors was received from both Italo Vignoli and Andrea Pescetti.
