Hi Greg
Thanks for the info. Can you please provide clarification on the version of OVS
that will be supported? I believe if it’s 2.5 the kernel version might be an
issue, if it’s 2.6 then it’s fine:
https://github.com/openvswitch/ovs/blob/master/FAQ.md#q-what-linux-kernel-versions-does-each-open-vswitch-release-work-with

I’m not planning on overriding anything on the system, just planning on
delivering a fuel plugin that installs collectd (with some of collectd’s
plugins enabled) on the platform. Collectd will then work with existing APIs on
the system to retrieve relevant information.

Maryam

Fuel for Newton (OPNFV D release) is based on Ubuntu LTS 16.04 and will use 4.4
stock kernel.
There is no plan to update OVS, libvirt, QEMU. So what you get from Ubuntu LTS
is what you see on the system,
we will not override like we are doing with 14.04.

If you need something that is not in 16.04, plan on delivering it via plugin
(but please let me know as well what you are planning on overriding)

Hi Fuel Team

I'm just wondering what version of Ubuntu will the upcoming Fuel version
support? I'd like to be able to validate my features without fuel in a similar
environment before the fuel plugin integration takes place.

Thanks in advance
Maryam
