Hi all,

Here is Summary of Parser meeting today

>From Domino meeting today following Gaps were identified for discussion in
>Parser meeting
Gaps in tosca parser
  1. Processing of substitution mapping statements to load VNF definitions
Gaps in heat translator
 2. Heat Translator does not recognize node type VNF
Placement policy base type is translated into an affinity policy rule

Parser Meeting
@shangxdy to Everyone: 08:15 PM : I am working on substitution in tosca parser
and it's almost finished.
Placement policy about affinity and anti affinity are already ok in parser, but
it only support affinity in openstack community

.
@Shiva is working on Release C and will cherry pick or help Howard to Cherry
pick and submit the code by Friday for Release C stable.

@Prakash from Domino indicated that the gaps that are needed to be covered in
translation are TOSCA to HOT.
Thus there needs to be discussion between Domino and Parser on what is relevant
of the work @shangxdy has done to date.
If @shangxdy can point to code Domino team can review and see if this will
suffice or needs additional work for release D for translations. It also plans
to review the progress of Aria-ng and evaluate if the other options is an
alternate, to conserve forking anything as long as the resource required is
minimum.

Note: The Parser in OPNFV is focused on mapping YANG to TOSCA.

@Howard indicated that Parser plans to peruse semantic validation as new
feature in Release D.
The other possibilities are gRPDC calls support as the Parser service can be
used with REST or gRPC with multiple language binding support.
Domino will prefer gRPC binding as that helps batch processing. Although
RESTful API is also an option.

Please continue the debate through email and see how the Independent Domino
Template Distribution and Template Parsing can co-ordinate in Release D.
