Prakash, Thank you for your effort, and it looks a good starting point. Thank you for choosing IPv6 as a template of further developing other test cases.
Because the test cases listed in your proposal are mostly VNFs in nature, when you use the term "OPNFV Inside", I assume that you meant the underlying platform supporting those VNFs must be based on open sourced OPNFV platform (instead of other types of proprietary implementation of platform), and compliant with platform testing (e.g. FuncTest and Yardstick). In another word, the prerequisite of CVP should be compliance with platform testing (e.g. FuncTest and Yardstick), plus those add-on test cases from Dovetail in order to qualify for "OPNFV Inside". Of course, we haven't achieved 100% pass of FuncTest and Yardstick yet (correct me if I am wrong). That's OK. We can take a phased approach by defining a lower bar, for example 80% initially, and increase the bar moving forward. In summary, CVP consists of 2 types of tests: - OPNFV Platform Compliance: through FuncTest and Yardstick. Phased approach seems reasonable to increase the bar of compliance - Dovetail Testing: through those VNF test cases defined by Dovetail group. This way, "OPNFV-inside" *really means* OPNFV platform inside the OPNFV-certified products. If I am off the mark please correct me but this is what I understand from various interactions within community. We can go over this at Models meeting Monday organized by Bryan Sullivan and see how this pans out as lot of cross project co-ordination will be required to get to "OPNFV Inside" thinking. Please use rst file and update it for getting it ready for approved to Dovetail repo.
