Hi,

config: Mark USE_APK broken
This will hide the USE_APK setting in OpenWrt 24.10 by default.

I've thought, that we've agreed to remove the option completely?
Thus my proposal in
https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/pull/17097/commits/9d2e5dc13bf894e2652d3e1c7a041d57e479dc29

I think it results in the same if we hide it behind the BROKEN flag or if we completely remove it. I am fine with both options.

This would be my quick proposal:
https://github.com/hauke/openwrt/commits/openwrt-24.10-rebased/

I've prepared https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/pull/17097
Which basically does the same, but with cherry-picks, but drops anything apk
related, as this might introduce opkg regressions.

0a68db49c1 qualcommax: ipq60xx: remove source-only flag

I've not included this one, I was told, that its not ready yet.

Cheers,

Petr

I also think that the APK related changes might break opkg in some places. They should not, but...

I think the majority wants to cherry picks, that is fine with me. My main goal was to get the not APK related changes into the release branch. We haven't done much testing on 24.10 branch and there are some interesting changes in the main branch.

Hauke
