@jow- I unfortunatly got dropped from the mailing list when the server crashed and finally found the time to go through the archive. I really like to dsaconfig, but I would like to recomment a small change to "dsaconfig show"
In your example from July 7th, you showed the output as root at OpenWrt:~# dsaconfig show Switch: switch0 VLAN/ | lan1 | lan2 | lan3 | lan4 | wan | Link: | down | 1000F | down | 1000F | down | 1 | u* | t | t | t | t | 2 | t | t | t | t | u* | 5 | t | t* | u* | t | t | 8 | t | t | t | u* | t | 11 | t | t | t | t | t | But I would have expected this root at OpenWrt:~# dsaconfig show Switch: switch0 VLAN/ | lan1 | lan2 | lan3 | lan4 | wan | Link: | down | 1000F | down | 1000F | down | 1 | u* | t | e | e | e | 2 | e | e | e | e | u* | 5 | e | t* | u* | e | e | 8 | e | t | e | u* | e | 11 | e | t | e | t | e | Stating which ports are excluded from a VLAN is important. I'm looking forward to testing it.
