I remembered it was talked of at the beginning of the fork (maybe also in those irc meetings), then being part of the LEDE project rules, discussed again in the merge proposal, now again in the process of actually doing the merge. I got the impression that we really did not have worked the split out. Sure, "Be nice to each other" is one of the rule, but please be cautious never to let this rule bend ourselves to make compromises, then let real issues to be papered over or glossed over.
