Hey, Kevin, I know how much of a pain it is to get patches to send without getting mangled. You ought to stick with this, though, and work out how you can send patches that don't get mangled. I'm sure Steven doesn't mind pinging you back to let you know what the patches look like. Honestly, it's better to work with a simple patch to get it figured out. Git send-email is probably the way to go. Once you get it set up and working, it makes this much less painful.
