My guess is that it's some problem caused by this board using U-Boot. It's the first time I hear about someone trying Broadcom ARM, U-Boot an OpenWrt. I guess U-Boot doesn't like our kernel. Our config uses CONFIG_KERNEL_XZ=y, but we also seem to be using lzma, see target/linux/bcm53xx/image/Makefile.
