Hi,

I see that there was a recent attempt to reintroduce the possibility to set the
size of the log buffer
http://nbd.name/gitweb.cgi?p=luci2/ubox.git;a=commit;h=dee0eafbf7de74b45f90631b7c807395e0a0bc4b

https://dev.openwrt.org/changeset/39365

and a revert
http://nbd.name/gitweb.cgi?p=luci2/ubox.git;a=commit;h=cb6425ce059ddcd4ade45200fdcc39234ff500ad
https://dev.openwrt.org/changeset/39366

Will it be possible again, or ?
What where the problems (i'm curious)?

I've tried using log_file (in /tmp), but:
1) very few logs are accessible via luci (it uses the log buffer, like logread)
2) first logs are lost

Maybe the 'log' init script should start at 0,
and the 'log network' part put in another script at 12 ?

Maybe logread should have an option to dump current buffer in the -F file?

Thanks in advance
Etienne
