[1] seems to be MIFI-F5, AU$11.93, [2] seems to be HAME MPR-A1, $10.94;
MPR-A1 seems to be just about $0.135 more "costly".

Have you measured its real capacity?

Well, one can relatively easily "debrick" by flashing directly to the
serial chip with some external device such as ftdi board or raspberrypi.

Are you really sure that's the case? What problems will I get if I make
my home router use only 16M memory? Will it have issues
conntracking/natting 100 TCP connections? Anything else I might be
missing? And I personally do not consider running LuCI on my router
useful, I see no real advantages in this control method.

Tested LEDs and the button, work as expected. Deeper digging for other
possible lines is yet to be performed.
