Hello Valent, I am sorry for late response. I am unable to locate the problem between engine and openssl engine due to lack of hardware I use. I'd suggest at first try stracing & to use gdb to debug and locate, what openssl needs to run with engine libraries. I am not that experienced in debugging with gdb, so I can't give you a hand in this. :-(
If you can paste your log to pastebin and provide links to it, I am sure that someone will take a look at it (at least I will).
