I plan on leaving this standalone, it does not really belong into the
netifd core. I think I'll commit the initial version mostly as-is and
adapt your script to the different CLI syntax. In the future I plan on
adding support for running multiple proto_run_command calls and hook the
qmi code up to ubus for querying information at run time.
That will run the watchdog tests then.
